Sophie’s Fallout Themed Pigeon Bed
Yes, you’ve read that right: A Fallout Themed Pigeon Bed 😉 !
I decided to make a bed for our rescue (office) pigeon Sophie, and to do this ‘in style’. Like some of you might know, me and my wife are both BIG fans of Fallout (for years actually), and therefor I decided to make Sophie’s bed with a ‘flair of Fallout’ so to speak 🙂 .
I was inspired by a bed from the Fallout New Vegas Dead Money DLC, simply because this model was safe enough to recreate in real life for Sophie (a pigeon). There where initially a few other models which I had in mind, but those would not be suitable due to the fact that her feet (talons) could for example get stuck in open sections of the design. And because I wanted to make my design as recognizable as possible, I had to search a bit more to find one that would be safe to recreate 🙂
I have to be honest though: I personally had never seen this bed in the game itself (and I have played Fallout an absurd amount of hours!), but in my defense: If I would look it up in the GECK (the game editor so to speak), it isn’t used that much in the game either though.

However I did really liked the design and thus decided to make it for her. And now it’s available for free for other pigeon caregivers/owners to download 🙂 Or if you of course just want to have/make it for yourself to compliment your Fallout collection 😉
This is just the start
This bed is however just the start of Sophie’s Furniture series/line, because we are currently working on lots of other (often Fallout Themed and/or look-a-like) furniture for Sophie (/pigeons). And I can even promise you that we won’t stop at “just” making the furniture for Sophie 😉
