This topic is intended to either make others aware of fake content, or to talk about it.
Obviously you can also discuss topics/content if your are in doubt/skeptical about something you have seen. This forum is however NOT intended to ‘bash’ (other) content (creators) because they are doing something different than you should have done it, or because they are doing something wrong in/with their projects they are showing.
Topics you can for example discuss here are video where they for example show BS like folding paperclips and gluing/soldering them to a headphone jack for ‘free wifi’ (yes that crap content exists unfortunately!). Or content which gives “tips” about putting phones which have fallen in water into rice to “fix them” etc. Or content which “shows” you how to get “free energy” (ranging from magnets on fans, “stealing” power form the earth wire or other stuff which could potentially do more harm than good.
Often these are video made just for the views, and 100% fake and sometimes even dangerous,
THAT is the type of content you can discuss here, same goes for scam projects on platforms like kickstarter etc.
Do however be cautious that you actually post topics here which do actually fall in these categories, and that you don’t post something which you personally just consider useless.
A ‘blunt example’: Lets say that someone would start a kickstarter to make and sell a “multi”-meter which could only measure volts (and thus it being just a volt meter), then you should not post it here. Obviously I would in most cases not see the value either (anymore) for such a product in a multimeter form factor, but that doesn’t mean it’s a scam.
