In this forum you can promote and/or discuss other content creators or for example talk about their projects, creations etc. For example to ask how they did something, to use/share it for inspiration etc… Or of course just to promote, share and/or recommend other content creators (yes that could also include your own platform and for example YouTube channel!)😊
However do make sure that the topic(s) fit your platforms topics (basically the main topics on our forums are an easy ‘cheat-sheet’), but just to be clear the other content (creators) should be mainly about:
3D Printing, 3D Design/Modeling, Electronics, Programming, PCB Design, Electronics Repairs, Game Development/Modeling/Scripting, Robotics, R/C Stuff and other DIY related content in this context.
The content (creators) also do have to be credible and/or serious about their content. It should be fairly easy to filter the fake content from the real content (even if it’s just a new channel for example).
For example Nerdforge on YouTube would be a topic/creator which is allowed to talk about/promote etc, same goes for content creators like Dave Jones (EEVBlog), Electroboom, GreatScott!, BigCliveDotCom, Evan and Katelyn etc. All content creators with serious content in which they put serious effort. Channels like for example (just to name one) 5 Minute crafts are not allowed to be promoted here due to the crap they often produce just for as many views as possible.
It’s a bit difficult to explain exactly what I mean here, but I’m guessing that the examples are clear enough (with the content creators I have mentioned) to give you a base line to determine the line between do’s and don’ts.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I don’t care if you post/promote good content which for example has “poor camera angle quality”, where the content is actually good. That’s all fine to me, everyone has/had to start somewhere. What is important though, is that there is significant effort in trying to explain/convey the topic in the content. If the content however is for example super hard to follow, bad mumbling (which is barely understandable) and leaving out crucial parts of the context, then it is not allowed to be posted and shared here.
In short: Just make sure that the content (creators) you promote/share here has decent quality and has an decent amount of effort in it. And that the promoted content obviously fits our platform.
