XNL Microscope Adapter (for Microphone Arm)

I love my cheap Chinese AliExpress (Electronics) microscope, but it just drove me absolutely bonkers when I tried to use it with larger boards.

So I decided to design as small (3D Printed) adapter which uses a 3/8″ thread, so that the cheap Microscope could be placed on a microphone arm, basically giving it the same flexibility as the (much) more expensive electronics lab microscopes but for a much lower price (for me totaling around €65,-)

Information

A very simple adapter I’ve designed for a (specific) cheap Chinese AliExpress microscope so that it can be used on a microphone arm.

Despite the fact that this is basically a very simple design, it does improve the usability of this microscope significantly.

Thread size
The thread size used in the Microscope adapter is 3/8″

USB Cable Mount Included in the download
There is also a (2 piece) USB cable mount included in the download which I have used to mount my USB cable onto my microphone arm. Do however take into account that this enclosure has been designed to the exact dimensions of the female USB connector on my USB cable, so chances are that it might not fit your USB extension cord!

WARNING:
